The University's Public Safety and Risk Management Division of Business Affairs is comprised of the following:

4.1 Public Safety and Risk Management

4.1.1 Public Safety and Risk Management which is responsible for protecting life and property at the University by providing emergency and non-emergency law enforcement services, crime prevention, safety and criminal investigation services. The University Police Department consists of 22 full-time state commissioned police officers , including a Chief of Police, 9 civilian support staff and 4 security guards.

4.2 Parking & Traffic Department

4.2.1 The Parking & Traffic Department is responsible for providing parking services and traffic control for all faculty, staff, students and visitors to the campus. Management of the University's nearly 6,500 parking spaces is accomplished through vehicle registration and enforcement of the Parking and Traffic Regulations.

4.3 The Office of Emergency Plans & Operations

4.3.1 The Office of Emergency Plans & Operations was formally establisehd in March 2008 within the University Police Department. In 2010, the University's Business Affairs Divison restructured, which resulted in an independent office for emergency plans and operations. The Office of Emergency Plans and Operations is a subordinate unit with the University's Public Safety and Risk Management unit. The Ofifce works diretly with departments, units, and groups across campus.

4.4 The Office of Occupational Safety and Health

The Office of Occupational Safety and Health which is under the supervision of its Director as the designated Safety Officer, is responsible for the implementation and execution of an effective safety program for the University.
