Policy 304.1

Introduction

1.1 The Parking and Traffic Department is responsible for providing parking services and traffic control for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to the campus.

Scope

2.1 This policy applies to all faculty, staff, students as well as visitors to the Appalachian State University Campus.

Definitions

Campus

All properties belonging to Appalachian State University, including New River Light and Power, the Child Development Center, the holdings of the permanent Endowment Fund and all properties leased or controlled by the University.

Director of Parking and Traffic

The person designated by the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Operations to be responsible for enforcing the provisions of these regulations.

Policy and Procedure Statements

General Regulations

4.1.1 Appalachian State University parking regulations shall be governed by Board of Trustee resolution. Such resolution shall be updated and made available by the Appalachian State University Department of Parking and Transportation.

Authority

4.2.1 The Chancellor shall delegate to the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Operations the responsibility for administering the provisions of these regulations. The Vice Chancellor of Finance and Operations shall designate the Director of Parking and Traffic to be responsible for enforcing the provisions of these regulations.
